Summary
IdeaReboot Inc is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the Organic/Free Search Traffic team for one of its leading e-commerce and e-shopping clients. The engineer is expected to innovate in search engine optimization, improve website features, and traffic metrics infrastructure owned by the team. The Free Search Traffic team is responsible for optimizing and enhancing client’s sites to maximize free traffic from search engines using SEO and Landing Page Optimization techniques. This includes finding algorithmic ways to increase the traffic and sales we get through natural search results, working with industry experts and resources to apply the latest SEO techniques and insights to its websites and optimizing the user experience of the landing page from search engines. We have aggressive goals and a highly effective team focused on moving fast and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, and deploy website components used to improve ranking and indexing of client site’s pages and for optimizing the user experience for the landing page. This includes client’s URLs, page titles, dynamic content, etc.
• Architect, design, implement, and deploy large scale metrics systems used to track traffic from search engines, trends in search terms, conversion and other key traffic metrics.
• Work with other teams around the organization to improve platform support for search engine friendly URLs, and content elements.
• Help evangelize search engine optimization around client’s technical community
• Provide help and assistance to editorial and category teams which create content which improves relevance for search engines.

Preferences

• BS in Computer Science
• 4+ years in software development experience
• Proven track record in databases, web technologies, and common programming languages such as Java, Perl, Ruby, SQL in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
• Effective working in a team as well as independently
