Summary

IdeaReboot Inc, is looking for Java Developer Support Engineer for an experienced mid to senior level Java software engineer to join client SWAT team, providing mission-critical 24×7 software systems support for the rapid identification and resolution of site issues. The team is composed of highly experienced software engineers that are able to work across multiple programming languages, large-scale systems, low-level applications, kernels and operating systems.

Expectations

• Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications
• Ability to find and help fix stability/scalability issues in a very time critical environment.
• Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills are a must.
• Excellent written & verbal communications skills, as there is significant interpersonal interaction with product development and QA engineers, as well as senior management to status on issues, and drive through to completion.
• Share on-call responsibilities. Pager duty will be required 1 week every 4-6 weeks.

Preferences

• 5+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications in NT and UNIX environments
• Expertise required in object-oriented design methodology and application development in Java and J2EE, including Servlets, JSP, Java Beans, EJB, JMS, RMI, JDBC, MVC architecture.
• Candidate must have experience working with Java and J2EE. Perl is a plus.
• Experience with IBM Web Sphere or other J2EE application servers required.
• Working knowledge of relational databases (prefer Oracle), HTTP/HTML, XML, XSLT and basic NT/UNIX system administration.
