Summary

IdeaReboot Inc is looking for a highly motivated engineer for a Software Engineering Contractor position responsible for architecture, product design, and development in the billing messaging development team. Billing messaging offers messaging platforms between the ecommerce site and global billing system. As part of a fast paced organization, this position requires working closely with the various business units, Site Operations and external vendors such as banks and software providers. Individual is expected to be a self-starter and team player, with a strong drive for results and continuous improvement. He/she will have the responsibility for the whole development life cycle including define, architect, design, development, roll out and support of the messaging system platform. All the major activities such as define, architect, design and development needs to consider the aspects such functionality, high volume performance, scalability, reliability, reusability and realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles.

Expectations

This position requires a minimum of 8 years billing/financial/messaging development and support experience, excellent communication skills and business knowledge. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate ones potential in a successful and fast pace e-commerce environment.

• BS in Computer Science (or related technical degree) and 8+ years related industry experience (or MS and 6+ years).
• 6+ years of development and/or support experience, preferably financial, billing or customer support applications based on web technology built on Java/J2EE, C/C++, Websphere, JDBC, .net, SOAP API, XML/XSL/HTML, Microsoft windows, both client and server.
• 3+ years need for a J2EE Server Side developer with Messaging development/ architecture experience such as TIBCO, MQSeries or other business event messaging platform.
• 3+ years as an engineering team lead, preferably at high-volume web companies.
• Good knowledge of Oracle database programming, tuning and scripting, logical database design, SQL, and stored procedures.
• Strong communication, problem analysis/resolution skills.
• Strong customer/business orientation.
• Excellent time management and be able to work on concurrent assignments with different priorities.
• Experience working closely with other organizations such as Operations, Load and Performance, Security, Build/Release, QA and Training.
• ClearCase experience is a plus.
• Experience in Windows NT/UNIX/Java/Websphere development experiences a definite advantage.
